Resist Wilderness Development
KEEP IT WILD
Feel like there are less wild places out there?
Troubled by lack of beach access?
So are we. We worry that someone is going to find Deadmans, put up some barbed wire, and build a condo on the point. The wild need their wilderness. They also do things different because adventure is not for the mundane. They crave environmental diversity. They also avoid the franchised, the sanitized, and the privatized. They act local anywhere in the world, and they know where the locals get the best tacos.
Look around and see who is buying monster houses in the gated communities that now stretch down (and block) the coast. There will soon be no romance in escaping the crush of condos in the U.S. to a simple spot on the beach in Baja if that spot has been turned into a U.S.-style condo with a big screen t.v., satellite, and floodlights which blot out the sky at night.
No government is going to stop it, but we don't have to like it or be a part of it.
